Why do I need to sign up?
Well, you don't need to sign up – but if you want to have access to all the great videos and areas on Joost, then you need to set up an account. If you're concerned about your privacy, you can check out our privacy policy, but in a nutshell it says that we won't share your information and we'll only contact you with your permission.
I can't remember my Joost Name or my password, how do I get it back?
Don't worry – it happens to everyone. You can find your Joost Name by using your email address to sign on to Joost. If you've forgotten your password, You can get it back easily at http://www.joost.com/forgot/.
What does my profile look like?
You'll probably appear on Joost as a Joost Name (and maybe your name, if you choose to add it to your profile) and a friendly, gender-free TV-like icon. Information about your activities on Joost – the shows you've watched, favorited, shouted about, tagged or commented, the Friends you've made and the Groups you've joined – may appear in your Friends' and the public JoostFeed.
What if I don't want my activities to be added to the JoostFeed?
You can click on the "Privacy" tab of your Settings page and check the Stealth Mode button – when that's checked, all of your activities will be hidden.
What if I want to share more information?
If you click on the "Privacy" tab of your Settings page and check the box by the Public Profile Mode, people who come to Joost will be able to more information from your profile than usual, but they won't see your birthdate and your city – only how old you are and the country you live in.
