What are Friends?
They're people you like – whether you know them from the online or the offline world.
How do I add a Friend?
First, go to the Friends page and search for your Friend by their name or their Joost Name, if you know it. Click on their name and you'll go to their user profile page, and then click the Add to Friends button below their avatar. Then it's up to your new Friend to confirm that you are actually Friends.
How do I find my Friends who are already on Joost?
To find your Friends – or at least, people you email – who are already on Joost, go to the Find Friends tab and fill in your email account information. We'll pull up your contact list and then you'll be able to choose whom you'd like to add as a Friend. We won't send any Friend requests until you confirm which of your contacts you want to be your Friends. You don't have to use the email you used to sign up for Joost. And don't worry, we won't store this information and we'll never contact you at this email address or your friends without your permission.
How do I invite Friends to Joost?
Well, you can tell them about it or send them a link to joost.com ... but if you like to do things in bulk, we have an easy way for you to invite your Friends – or at least, people you email – to Joost. Go to the Find Friends tab, fill in your email account information below. We'll pull up your contact list and then you'll be able to choose whom you'd like to invite to Joost. What are Groups?
Think of it like a book club or poker night – a place where you can get together with Friends or people who share your interests and talk about the things that interest you. They're great way to find other things that you might find interesting.
How do I join a Group?
First you have to find a Group you want to join – it might be one that your Friends are in, or it might be a fan club for one of your favorite shows. Anyway, once you find the Group, click the Join Group button, and you'll be the Group's newest member.
How do I manage my Groups?
You can manage your Groups, both the ones you're a member of and the ones that you own, from the Groups page. By clicking on the Group name you'll be able to leave Groups that you're already a part of or change the descriptions of Groups that you own. And you can also see what's going on in your Groups.
