Shin is a user of the Divine Fist of the South Star, the Assassin’s Fist which contests the Divine Fist of the North Star.

A year ago, Shin betrayed his master’s orders and fought Kenshiro, stealing Kenshiro’s lover Yuria. However, since then she has never showed her smile again. Yuria still had Kenshiro in her mind. Kenshiro goes alone to the fortress to look for Yuria, but no one is there.

Kenshiro, Lin, and Bat arrive at a desert oasis.

It's a small but lively town, but it's ruled by the “Divine Military,” God's Army, who on the surface protects the town while actually plundering its resources over and over again. Their leader, The Colonel, is a powerful user of the Southern Fist style who also has supernatural powers

Kenshiro challenges God's Army to battle!!

The new leader of God's Army takes the people of the town hostage to lure Kenshiro. After witnessing a child see her own parents murdered in front of her eyes, Kenshiro flies into a rage at the inhuman act, and he pummels the perpetrators to a pulp.

In his search for the leader of God's Army (The Colonel) Kenshiro enters the soaring tower within the base. The Colonel uses his extraordinary abilities to read Kenshiro's movements and attacks with his lethal boomerang!

In exchange for access to the lake, a witch named Patora demands village people work as slaves. Kenshiro heads to Headwater Lake and finds Dragon’s fortress.

Pastora and Dragon are controlling the lake’s water and afflict the village people. Dragon offers Ken to join forces to overthrow Shin. However without missing a beat, Kenshiro’s anger explodes and defeats Dragon in his fortress.

Kenshiro returns water to the well, as Toyo who is Bat’s foster parent, wishes. However, the Warriors have heard about this and are on their way to attack the village.

In order to avenge Toyo, who dies protecting the children of the village, Kenshiro chases Jackal while defeating members of the Warriors one after another.

Joker takes away Jackal and orders to restrain Devil’s Rebirth. Devil’s Rebirth is insanely violent. Kenshiro has trouble with Devil’s Rebirth who masters the Indian assassination technique, the Arhat Deva Fist.

Duran gains the trust of the villagers and is living among them, he actually held a candle to the devil with Dante before. .

However, the Dante Army discovers Duran's hiding place, and the gang blackmails him to assassinate Kenshiro in exchange for the villagers’ safety.

Kenshiro and his gang arrive in a town with a haunting sound of an ominous bell. The town is dominated by Zaria with Dark Bell Fist.

In the middle of the night, the bell rings, and the townspeople under hypnosis by Zaria attack Kenshiro.

A boy named Sera tells Kenshiro about suffering villagers caught in the middle of a power struggle between two violent gangs. Kenshiro attempts to calm the dispute, but it seems this can’t be resolved without a fight.

Shin gathers his entire elite King Army in order to consolidate his power to defeat Kenshiro. Meanwhile, Yuria proclaims that she lives on only because that was Ken’s wish.

The fully assembled King Army assaults a village Ken was visiting. Then, Yuria tries to escape from Southern Cross, only to fail and be imprisoned by Shin.

Garekki and Goldwolf attack Jennifer’s village. Meanwhile, Temjina, who was about to be executed for letting Yuria escape, is set free. He sets out to tell Kenshiro the location of Southern Cross.

With the information Temjina sacrificed his life to give, Kenshiro and the others head for Southern Cross. However, an attack from General Balcom’s helicopter squad puts Kenshiro on death’s door.

Shin’s creation, Southern Cross, is thrust into chaos by Balcom’s rebellion. Plus, Kenshiro, whom he thought dead, has revived! Is their fated battle finally here?!

Kenshiro finally confronts his old nemesis, Shin. But he is shocked to hear that Yuria has already committed suicide and left this world. What’s more, Shin plans to follow her!

Kenshiro and the others leave Southern Cross behind. They run afoul of Kemda and the Fang Clan, but defeat them easily. Arriving at the next town, they find that its leader, Mamiya, looks just like Yuria.

Kenshiro struggles against Kemda. But then the mysterious Rei appears, a man who dresses as a woman to lure in villains and slaughter them. Kemda notices Rei and hires him to infiltrate the village, but just then, Rei does something quite unexpected…

Mamiya’s brother Kou is attacked by the Fang Clan and publicly executed. A strawberry for Mamiya’s birthday cake is found on his remains. Kenshiro and Rei, burning with rage, seek vengeance on Mamiya’s behalf! 100

Kenshiro and Rei, North Star and South Star, set out to exterminate the Fang Clan. Rei had warned Mamiya to quit fighting, and left her behind, but she joins them later and stands against the Gihara Squad.

The Boss Fang shows his trump card: he has hunted down and captured Rei’s sister, Airi. Rei loses himself and goes berserk. Airi realizes her brother is near, and tries to reunite with him, but…

To rescue Airi, Mamiya heads to meet the Boss Fang and declares herself Kenshiro’s fiancée, but is kidnapped. Then, Boss Fang orders Rei to kill Kenshiro.

Kenshiro tells Rei about the seven scars on his chest, and Rei believes him. Meanwhile, in a certain town, an evil masked man, a false Kenshiro, performs the foulest of acts.

One man has been calling himself Kenshiro and perpetuating acts of cruelty. His name is Jagi, and it seems the struggle to be lone successor to the North Star Divine Fist lies at the root of all this. Kenshiro rises up to settle the score.

The feeble Mako and his younger brother Aki live in a town under Jagi’s control. Jagi schemes for Mako to attack Kenshiro. Under Jagi’s control, Mako aims a crossbow at Kenshiro, and Kenshiro places his own chest in the bow’s path.

Jagi chooses the roof of a 200 meter-tall building for the site of his showdown. His plan is to box Ken in by spreading gasoline and setting it on fire. Plus, Kenshiro hears that Jagi is the one who urged Shin to steal Yuria…

Word has it that Toki is a demon, who repeatedly performs fearsome human experiments. Kenshiro hears that the monsters born from those experiments are running rampant, and goes to see if this is truly Toki, his older brother…

Kenshiro enters the village of miracles, defeats a man modified by Toki, and heads towards Toki himself. Hearing of this, Toki gloats that he’s about to gain the greatest possible marionette.

Yu, part of the caravan that picked Lin up, has fallen ill. Lin and Yu’s parents head to Toki’s village of miracles in search of help, but instead of help, the parents find themselves as guinea pigs for Toki…

Kenshiro finally faces off against Toki. Though he may be Kenshiro’s brother, evil must be defeated! However, his real identity turns out to be Amiba of the South Star Sacred Fist, a man with a grudge against Toki.

Bathed in the ashes of death, Toki gives up his position as successor. Mamiya sets out alone to find him, but is captured by agents of the warden Uighur. It seems all hope is lost for her…

The warden Uighur has guessed that Kenshiro cannot kill women, and sends Bella, the successor to the Crimson Fist of Lotus Mountain, against him. She is awed to see Kenshiro saving children in the midst of their battle, and abandons the fight. Her life is taken by Targel.

Kenshiro and the others finally reach Cassandra. The warden Uighur sends Raiga and Fuga, wielders of the Dual Wind and Thunder God Fist and guardians of Cassandra’s legacy, out to intercept them.

Cassandra’s gate opens. Within, awaiting Kenshiro, lies the warden Uighur, with a grave already dug and the Supreme Mongolian Fist to knock Kenshiro senseless.

While Kenshiro and Mamiya fight in Cassandra, Lin and Bat hold onto hope and wait for news of their victory. But that’s when the Fist King, Ken-oh’s Royal Guard steps into Kenshiro and Mamiya’s path.

Kenshiro’s group heads into prison to reunite with Toki, but Ken-oh’s Royal Guard stands in their way. Raiga and Fuga disobey orders to help Kenshiro and the others, but are then targeted by assassins.

Toki and Ken are finally reunited. Toki smashes through the attacking Royal Guard with the North Star Humane Face Breaker. Then the prison tower begins to collapse, at the hands of Ken-oh himself.

Kenshiro and the others leave Cassanra behind for the town where Lin, Bat and Airi are waiting. That night, Toki sees clearly the Death Omen Star, visible only to those who will die within the year.

Ken-oh’s Assault Squadron attacks the village where Lin and the others wait. The survivors are forced to let themselves be branded as a sign of their loyalty, and Lin is sentenced to death for refusing.

Lin’s bravery in the face of certain death inspires courage within the villagers, who mount a resistance against the assault squadron. The sight of his courageous younger sister inspires Rei anew.

Rei challenges Raoh, but Raoh’s fighting spirit alone overwhelms him. Raoh defeats Rei with a single finger, without ever dismounting from his steed, Kokuoh. Kenshiro lands a blow with the Seven Deaths Cavalry Slash, but fails to notice he’s taken even worse damage himself.

Rei tries desperately to stop Kenshiro from challenging Raoh. Kenshiro refuses, but Toki arrives at the scene, and agrees that Kenshiro’s techniques can’t defeat Raoh.

Mamiya tries to save Toki by firing a bowgun at Raoh, but the Two-Finger Vacuum Grasp sends the arrow back at her. Kenshiro takes back his ability to move through sheer strength of will in order to stop the arrow.

Kenshiro and Raoh’s fight comes to a close, but Rei has three days left to live. Unable to bear Rei’s agonizing pain, Mamiya sets out alone for Medicine City to search for a cure.

Kenshiro and Rei arrive at Medicine City to rescue Mamiya, who was captured by Galf. Kenshiro saves her just before she is executed and frees the town. Rei tells Mamiya to “Find happiness,” but…

The man who carved the initials UD into Mamiya’s shoulder was Yuda, the traitorous bearer of the Star of Enchantment and one of the 108 styles of the South Star Sacred Fist. Yuda had killed Mamiya’s parents on her twentieth birthday, and taken her as his woman.

Kenshiro’s group heads for the town of Buldan in pursuit of Yuda, then gets ambushed by a group of boys. They claim to be gathering weapons to rescue their abducted relatives and loved ones from Yuda.

Rei has only a short time left to live. Even when Toki attempts to extend his life by touching his hidden channeling point, the “Shinreidai,” it puts Rei in more agony than ever. Amidst all this, Rei realizes that Mamiya also sees the Death Omen Star, and embraces her strongly.

Dedicating the tiny remainder of his life to Mamiya, Rei seeks Yuda’s defeat. Yuda sees this as his best chance to defeat the one man stronger and more beautiful than himself, and attacks him. The fated showdown between the two South Star Sacred Fists begins.

Rei is saved from peril by Kenshiro’s fist, and Yuda’s eyes are dazzled by the beauty of Rei’s techniques. That momentary distraction is enough to clinch the battle. Yuda wishes to die resting in Rei’s arms, but Rei’s life is also dwindling away.

Rei locks himself in a house alone to await his final moments, not wanting his miserable death to be seen by others. At the moment he looks in Mamiya’s eyes, he sees the Death Omen Star is gone! It could very well be a miracle brought about by Rei’s love.

After seeing Rei through his final moments, Kenshiro begins his journey once again. He arrives in a town ruled by Souther, one of the South Star Six Sacred Fists. Kenshiro senses a battle with a new foe approaching. Three of the South Star Six Sacred Fists remain…

Shu is a blind man who wields one of the South Star Six Sacred Fists. While in battle with him, Kenshiro realizes that Shu’s fist holds no intent to kill. Shu was testing Kenshiro, to see if he could defeat Souther. Is Shu friend or foe!?

Souther’s forces abduct children and conscript them for the construction of his Holy Cross Mausoleum. Bat and Lin, in search of the children, act as bait and get captured by Souther. Then, something Shu says stirs up old memories for Kenshiro…

The Holy Emperor’s forces’ Garzus Squadron, attacks a young resistance member named Jay, and then the village where his fiancée is hidden. Kenshiro comes running, only to be confronted by an assassin in a lake. The Divine Fist of the North Star explodes in the water!

Kenshiro hits secret pressure points on Peji and Giji, wielders of the South Star Twin Cutting Swords, then finally faces Souther. When Souther uses his Polar Star Cross Fist, Kenshiro hits a deadly secret pressure point, the “jinchukyoku”!

Even after hitting the deadly secret pressure point, the “jinchukyoku,” Kenshiro cannot hold his ground against Souther’s overwhelming might. After his defeat at Souther’s hands, Kenshiro is confined in the Holy Cross Mausoleum as a human sacrifice. Upon hearing of this, Shu’s son Shiva goes before the Holy Emperor’s forces, and…

Upon hearing from Kenshiro that Shiba died to save him, Shu is stricken with both grief and pride for his son. He slips Kenshiro a sleeping pill, entrusts the burden of the future to the children, and challenges Souther!

The cries of Shu’s soul awaken the gravely injured Kenshiro, and Kenshiro sets out for the Holy Cross Mausoleum to save him. Meanwhile, Toki and Raoh’s wounds still haven’t fully recovered, but they set their sights upon Souther’s Imperial Holy Cross Mausoleum.

Kenshiro reaches the Holy Cross Mausoleum. At the same time, Raoh and Toki show up. Shu is on death’s door, and about to be finished by Souther’s spear…but just then, something miraculous happens to Shu’s body!

Kenshiro and Souther face off. As payback for Shu’s death, Kenshiro answers Souther’s first attack with one of Shu’s techniques. Souther’s fist strikes Kenshiro. But in the next instant, a huge gush of blood erupts from Souther’s forehead!

Souther puts his pride as Holy Emperor on the line with his undefeated technique, the Heaven Soaring Cross Phoenix. Kenshiro combats it with the Divine Fist of the North Star’s secret technique, the Heaven-Breaking Stance. The North Star and South Star put their utmost secrets to the test in this battle! Souther’s fist, soaring like a phoenix, rips into Ken.

Raoh’s fighting spiritual energy surges, and a steely gleam returns to his eyes. Toki’s blood as a martial artist boils anew, and at that moment he resolves to fight with Raoh and seal his fists. Koryu, who fought their predecessor Ryuken for the succession, made the same resolution as Toki.

To gauge his own injuries, Raoh chooses Koryu as his opponent. Koryu unleashes the Seven Star Obliteration, hoping to knock out Raoh as he himself is defeated. At that point, Toki realizes that Raoh is on the verge of complete recovery. Toki now has a compelling reason to defeat Raoh.

Toki and Raoh battle in past and present. Raoh uses his Blank Mind Shadow Kill to unconsciously, instinctively kick out at Toki’s chest. When Toki stops his finishing hand thrust with a powerful fist, the Death Omen Star shines over Raoh’s head. The two are now on equal footing!

The curtain of destiny draws to a close over Toki and Raoh. Raoh’s Battle Strength Summons gathers all of Toki’s fighting power into Toki’s fists. A kick from Toki sends Raoh’s body flying through the air. Toki, seizing this chance, pummels him violently with the Soaring Hundred Crack Fist. But Toki’s powerful fist didn’t even bruise Raoh!

A village once ruled by Ken-oh is now ruled by brigands. There, Kenshiro encounters Ryuga, a man under the star of solitude. Ryuga strikes out at the brigands with the Taishan Heavenly Wolf Fist!

Sirius, a lone star associated with neither the South Star nor the North Star. Ryuga, a follower of Sirius, swore his loyalty to Raoh, Ken-Oh, because he feared chaos would break out. He resolves to fight with Kenshiro, and informs Raoh of his intent.

Kenshiro visits a town dominated by the Sabat gang, and strikes the gluttonous Sabat down by hitting a secret pressure point. After Kenshiro leaves the now jubilant town, Ryuga shows up before him. But Kenshiro spots the gleam in Ryuga’s eyes, and avoids fighting him…

Kenshiro arrives in a village under Ryuga's control, and Garoh draws his blade upon him. Then Kenshiro learns that Ryuga has gone to the village where Toki is staying. To drive Kenshiro to the depths of despair, Ryuga's fist closes in on Toki, who is already nearing death!!

After Ryuga abducts Toki, Kenshiro pursues Ryuga to his castle. Upon learning of Toki's death, Kenshiro's rage explodes!! But then Kenshiro learns that Ryuga of Sirius is a man fated to sacrifice himself in hopes of finding true peace.

The man who marked the beginning of Kenshiro's fateful journey. Shin increased his territory through fighting, offered everything he ever obtained to Yuria, and changed his own name to King. Ken looks back on his battle with Shin, the man who had no other way of expressing his love.

Rei, a man of the South Star Waterfowl Fist, an elegant and beautiful art with unparalleled brutality. Rei, who lived by the Star of Justice and devoted his life to others, fought Raoh in a terrific battle in order to repay his debt to Kenshiro. Kenshiro reflects on Rei, the first man in this world of chaos whom he called his friend.

Yuda, of the Star of Deception and its crimson gleam, deemed himself the most beautiful in the world. But during his training, something happened which he could not allow: his heart was stolen by the beauty of Rei’s South Star Waterfowl Fist and its “Flying Swallow Flowing Dance”. Kenshiro conjures up thoughts of how Rei risked his life to fight Yuda.

When Kenshiro was a boy, Shu of the South Star Waterfowl Fist, gave up his own light in exchange for Kenshiro’s life. That was when Shu realized his destiny as the Star of Benevolence, which lives in hope for the future. Kenshiro thinks back on how Shu died heroically, climbing up a stairway of death.

Yuda caused the destruction of the South Star Sacred Fist. However, the true mastermind behind it was Souther, the Star of Leadership, a man even Ken-Oh had refused to battle. In the flames of the funeral pyre, Kenshiro sees himself battling with Souther.

Ken-Oh steadily sends his troops forward, expanding his territory. Meanwhile, the funeral pyre has gone out. Kenshiro and the others set out on their journey of destiny once again, and visit a village with plentiful water. But One of Ken-Oh’s men,Bugal, rules the village with his Rotating World Void King Fist.

Kenshiro fights the Killer Machine Gren, created by Dabide, one of Ken-Oh’s followers. When Gren is born again, he is liberated from Dabide’s curse,and Dabide’s troops shoot him with arrows! Kenshiro explodes with rage as he watches Dabide screw with a single man’s destiny!

The Wind Brigade destroys Ken-Oh’s forces in several locations to draw Ken-Oh out. The main forces Ken-Ohbegin to move. Then Hyui appears before Raoh, and is given the challenge of testing his strength. Raoh lets loose a powerful strike against Hyui and his “Five Chariot Wind Rending Fist”!

Morgan, the chief of the vanguard forces for Ken-Oh, values cars more than human lives. Kenshiro explodes with rage when Morgan freewheels around town, running over villagers, but in the end, Bat is the one to finish Morgan off.

Shuren’s unit faces Ken-Oh’s forces. Shuren assaults Raoh’s forces with his flames of fury, and Raoh himself, with a “Five Chariots Passionate Flame Fist.” Meanwhile, Kenshiro and the others rescue a large man hunted by Ken-Oh’s agents. However, they discover he has five stars on his left arm.

The mysterious Fudo tails Kenshiro and the others. Kenshiro fights the Kogure crew and defeats them, but just then their remnants strike at him from the shadows. Fudo splits one of them in half with his “Five Chariot High Mountain Cut”, confirming that he is one of the Five Chariot Stars.

Kenshiro finds a group of bandits using Ken-Oh’s name, and finishes them off with the Cross Neck Face Breaker and the Mountain Fissuring Wave. Fudo tells Kenshiro that he must meet the last general if he is to quell these distressing times, where petty villains run rampant. Just then, one of Rihaku’s agents appears before Juza.

Ken-Oh’s pike brigade appears before Kenshiro, and he strikes a pressure point on their commander, Yakob. Meanwhile, the thief Gelga comes to Juza’s castle to take his woman back since Juza had refused Rihaku’s offer. Juza fights back against Gelga with his self-taught technique!

Kenshiro and the others are taken to a village run by Dolfi, an agent of Ken-Oh. Kenshiro explodes with rage when he sees an elderly man die there, but Dolfi attacks Kenshiro with his deceptive Taishan Black Shadow Fist. Meanwhile, Juza sees the face of the last South Star general.

While Kenshiro comes to a bridge checkpoint and finishes off Balda’s squad with the “North Star Toric Murderous Kick Attack!”, Raoh continues to advance his main troops forward. However, Juza’s squad appears to be in Raoh’s way. Raoh and Juza face each other, and Juza’s first attack reduces Raoh’s helmet to nothing more than powder.

Kenshiro and the others set out for the South Star capital, but Ken-Oh’s Assassin Squad appear before them. Kenshiro dodges Jenimo’s two-sword style and gives him a pounding! Meanwhile, Juza and Ken-Oh fight back and forth, and Juza steals away Ken-Oh’s Kokuoh.

With Kokuoh gone and his mobility cut off, Raoh sends Zaku’s squad at Kenshiro to try to stop him as well. Fudo repels the squad with his monstrous strength, but Hilka, user of the Snakebite Sash, kidnaps the children Fudo had been looking after!

Fudo dives into a bottomless quicksand pit to save his children. Kenshiro rushes to save Fudo instead of meeting the last South Star general. Kenshiro pulls out Fudo’s massive body with his left arm alone, only to be bound by Hilka’s Snakebite Sash!

For the last South Star general, Juza fights Ken-Oh again, and risks receiving the first strike. He circles around Raoh’s technique, then closes in on him in range and unleashes the “Dam Breaker Fist”! However, Raoh had struck Juza’s pressure point, the “kyomei”. Meanwhile, Kenshiro learns the identity of the last general.

Having learned who the last general is, Kenshiro dispatches one of Ken-Oh’s squads. Juza musters his last strength to fight to the death, and Raoh tells him the last general’s identity. The savior and conqueror of the century’s end both set their sights on the last general!

Raoh destroyed the Divine Fist of the North Star’s 2,000 years of history. His fight with Kenshiro began the day Kenshiro was named the successor. In the last general’s castle, Rihaku of the Ocean tells his daughter, Toh of Kenshiro and Raoh about the history of the Divine Fist of the North Star…

The last South Star general, who holds the key to conquering the century’s end, is Yuria. Raoh enters the castle first. Kenshiro is on his way to Yuria, but is stopped by Ken-Oh’s shadow brigade. Together with Kokuoh, Raoh dispatches the assembled South Star soldiers, and now finally stands before Yuria.

Kenshiro believes that Yuria will die unless he defeats Raoh, and is in a race to defeat him before reuniting with her. Kenshiro interjects in Rihaku and Raoh’s battle, and faces Raoh. His first strike sends Raoh flying!

Raoh’s legs buckle with fear under Kenshiro’s Divine Fist of the North Star Ultimate Secret Technique, the “Unconscious Transmigration”. Raoh unleashes the “Heaven's Command Charge!”, but Kenshiro still doesn’t retreat. A strike from Kenshiro wounds Raoh’s face. Raoh prepares to die and vows to take Kenshiro with him.

Kenshiro, with his eyes wounded and his light stolen, sets out into the wasteland after Ken-Oh. He encounters Ken-Oh’s forces there and destroys them with Shu’s technique, the “Fury Foot Sky Dance”. Meanwhile, to conquer the fear he felt in his battle with Kenshiro, Raoh appears before Fudo…

Fudo was once called a demon, and in his youth Raoh feared him. To protect his children, the virtuous Fudo stands before Raoh as the demonic Fudo once again. Meanwhile, Kenshiro learns that Raoh has gone to Fudo’s village…

Raoh and Fudo fight furiously, but the battle ends with Raoh at the advantage. The final elbow strike explodes into Fudo’s back. Just then, Raoh sees Kenshiro reflected in Fudo and the children’s sorrowful eyes. The recently rejuvenated Raoh cannot help but withdraw at that sight.

The Five Chariot Stars fall before Raoh, trying to protect the South Star Merciful Mother, Yuria. Rihaku, the last of the Five Chariot Stars, sees Hyui, Shuren, Juza and Fudo within the funeral pyre. Kenshiro swears not to let their souls pass on in vain.

News of Ken-Oh’s defeat causes upheaval in his troops, and before long his plans begin to crumble from the ground up. Raoh realizes from his fight with Kenshiro that what he lacks is sadness. He believes he can reap sadness by losing Yuria.

Kenshiro and Raoh face off at the most holy of training grounds in the 2,000 year history of the North Star, The North Star Mind and Body Training Ground. Kenshiro possesses the Unconscious Transmigration, which only those who bear sadness can learn. By tearfully laying his hands upon the one he loves, Raoh also acquires the technique.

Raoh unleashes a fierce fighting spirit. Enveloped within it, Kenshiro tells Raoh that each of their next blows will both be their last. Raoh puts all of his life into his fist and lets it fly. But Kenshiro’s fist slips out of Raoh’s hands and violently pierces his chest!

Kenshiro and Yuria first met at The North Star Mind and Body Training Ground. After Kenshiro had become the successor to the Divine Fist of the North Star and Yuria had vanished before him, he traveled a long journey of destiny to get her back again. We follow Kenshiro’s footsteps, as he grows stronger with each ounce of sadness that he bears…

Bat is now a brave young man, and Lin has grown into a beautiful woman. Together, they found the North Star Army, to save the people suffering under Jakoh and the Celestial Emperor's tyranny. But leading an army of greenhorns turns out to be an uphill battle fraught with peril. They continue to await the return of Kenshiro, the savior of legend. Rumors spread far that Ken is dead. Meanwhile, in a poor, squalid village, a "drifter" appears, looking haggard. That drifter is saved by a young boy named Haru, who hasn't lost his sense of justice or compassion even when living in a poor village.

The "Drifter" saved by Haru rests up at a bar where Haru works. Then comes Geld, a Celestial Emperor Army executioner. He took great pleasure in hunting down the remnants of the "Red Dragon Party" that once stood in revolt against the Celestial Emperor. Haru tries to defeat Geld, even if it means suicide for himself, but then the drifter pulls off his cloak, revealing Kenshiro, successor to the Divine Fist of the North Star!

Lin and Bat go undercover, but henchmen of the area commander, Bask, capture an innocent boy and girl after mistaking them for Lin and Bat. The callous Bask seeks to execute the girl as an example. Lin and Bat, ready to give up their lives, reveal themselves out in the open. Then, a man suddenly appears... Kenshiro, riding Raoh's beloved steed Kokuoh!

With Kenshiro finally joining forces with the North Star Army, everyone in the army feels strongly reassured. In the meantime, reports of Kenshiro reach the area commander Geira. Ein, a bounty hunter coming to claim a bounty, hears from Geira that the price on Kenshiro's head is staggering, boasts loudly that he'll defeat him.

Kenshiro's comrade-in-arms, Rei of the South Star Waterfowl Fist, is buried in a prospering town. But that town, home to Mamiya and Airi, comes under attack by Solia of the Purple Light, a general of the Celestial Emperor Army. At the same time, the North Star Army is in the final stages of an operation to capture another area. Spotting the town in peril, Kenshiro runs to save it!

Awaiting the North Star Army is a general of the Celestial Emperor Army, the strongest practitioner of the Imperial Fist of the Source Star, Golden Falco. He singlehandedly routs the entire North Star Army. In exchange for sparing all of their lives, he demands the death of their leader. Bat tries to protect Lin by claiming he is their leader, but Falco sees right through it and identifies Lin as the true leader. What is the tie that binds Falco and Lin!?

The North Star's leader must be eliminated... But Lin was once saved a long time ago. Feeling chagrin at this twist of fate, Falco is ready to eliminate Lin regardless. Witnessing this, the criminal Harn brothers urge the boy guarding them to break the concrete holding them imprisoned. They turn out to be successors to one of the 108 styles of the South Star that Falco slaughtered, the South Star Twin Hawk Fist.

Going on the justification that if Ken spared his life, he couldn't be that bad of a guy, Bat accepts Ein's invitation to join forces, and the two capture an area by themselves. But that would lead to tragedy, as the commander of the area they captured, Beron, abducts Ein's girl, Asuka, in vengeance. Ein's "lady love" turns out to be a little girl! What is their relation? And what is Ein's reason for fighting?

The North Star Army is joined by Ein, now a former bounty hunter, and the seasoned general Rihaku. They set out for the Imperial Capital. Rihaku speaks of Falco's past. Falco, who held his own against Raoh, once sacrificed his own leg to save a town. Meanwhile, inside the Imperial Capital, General Shoki of the Red Light sparks a revolt against Jakoh.

Jakoh decrees to Falco that if he wants to save the Celestial Emperor, he must strike down Kenshiro. Reasoning that if he lost to Kenshiro, Jakoh would pin all the blame on the Celestial Emperor and make a break for it, Falco hands one of his loyal henchmen and his lover Myu the detonator switch to a bomb in the Imperial Capital, then sets out for battle. Finally, the stage is set for a major confrontation between him and Kenshiro!

As the battle between Kenshiro and Falco heats up, Lin senses the Celestial Emperor's voice. The group falls into a trap set by Jakoh and falls deep underground. There, they discover Celestial Emperor Lui. Lin and Lui turn out to be twin sisters. As it turns out, in accordance with the law that there may only be one Celestial Emperor, Falco was ordered by Jakoh to eliminate the infant Lin, but he secretly saved her...

Kenshiro and Falco, both much worse for wear, are put in dire peril by Jakoh's cowardly schemes. Having already sustained heavy damage all over, both men come under fire from Jakoh's gigantic spears! Lin's group desperately seeks to escape from their cave quickly in order to tell Falco and Kenshiro that they have no more reason to fight. Ein hammers into an iron stake with his fist until breaking through to a water vein, and the underground water pressure lets them escape. The punch he stakes his life on finally creates a miracle!

Having lost his trump card, the Celestial Emperor, Jakoh is left naked and alone. Abandoned by his henchmen, he gets obliterated by a furious Falco. The joy of peace returning is short-lived, though. It is found out that Taiga of the Green Light has taken Lin and is trying to cross the Sea of Death. Ein's life leaves a powerful impression on Kenshiro, and Kenshiro grows determined to pursue Taiga. A new battle is just beginning to unfold...

Lin is taken to a land beyond the Sea of Dead, "The Land of the Asura." In this land where might determines everything, there exists a style called the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist. Kenshiro, crossing the sea in a pirate ship, learns that the ship's captain, the one-eyed, one-armed, one-legged Akashachi, once raided the Land of Asura, but was forced to flee and left his son behind. Upon arriving at the Land of the Asura, the first thing he sees is Falco, collapsed and gravely wounded by an Asura.

Falco was defeated by a nameless Asura due to losing his artificial leg in the middle of battle. For the sake of his honor, Falco challenges the Asura to a rematch. To deal with the Asura, who burrows underground, Falco uses the Ruinous Freezing Yellow Threat Stance to freeze the surface of the ground, then waits for the Asura to pop up. With Falco throwing himself into the fight fully ready to die, can his Imperial Fist of the Source Star take down the Asura...!?

Alph of the Hourglass, an Asura permitted to bear a name, won a battle between Asuras, and in doing so won the right to take Lin. He is charged with eliminating Kenshiro, and uses his poison cape to paralyze Kenshiro and pummel him with attacks. However, the one who lost when two minutes pass turns out to be Alph. Meanwhile, Lin is taken away by Shachi, a wielder of the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist.

Shachi is a wielder of the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist. His goal is to overthrow the three generals of Asura who rule the Land of Asura. Meanwhile, Kenshiro meets Shachi's former lover, Leia, who tells him to kill Shachi, now steeped in evil. Shachi is stopped during his pursuit. In a fight between Kaizel, who can steal a man's insides without damaging his exterior, and Shachi, what will the outcome be!?

Shachi takes Lin to general of Aura Han's castle, seeking to use Kenshiro to wear down Han for an easy defeat. In the guise of a rag, Shachi offers Lin up to Han as a pretense to get close to him. Han already sees through Shachi's disguise, and the two quickly resort to battle, though Shachi opts to make a hasty retreat after confirming Han's strength for himself. Meanwhile, Kenshiro is already inside Han's castle...

While watching Kenshiro and Han's fight from the sidelines, Shachi reflects upon how in this land, one must be strong to survive. After apprenticing himself to an old master of the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist, Shachi decided to become a devil, in direct opposition to his lover Leia, who preached the value of love. He refined his skill under Jukei, who claimed that one day a savior would bring change to this land. But the name of the savior Jukei spoke of turns out to be Raoh!

Due to Shachi's scheming, Kenshiro's presence becomes known all across the land as "Raoh's invasion." The Asuras cower, and the people eagerly await liberation. Relieved to hear this, Jukei tells of his past... He taught the three generals of Asura the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist, and led to the creation of the Land of Asura. Furthermore, this Land of Asura was Raoh and Kenshiro's birthplace...

Kenshiro is perplexed by Han's dying words, that he can never become a savior. But the Land of Asura remains unaware of the fact that the news of Raoh's coming is wrong, and chaos persists. In the midst of this, a villager named Kosem who eagerly awaits Raoh's coming decides to start an all-out revolt. But the Asuras realize that Raoh will not come, and the villagers are massacred at their hands. Arriving during this, Kenshiro hears someone demanding to know why he is here and not Raoh...

With Raoh's legend in shambles, tyranny and brutal suppression of revolts has grown worse than ever. Kosem's son Rock, believing Raoh would come, returned to his village with the intent of joining the uprising, but is horror-stricken upon finding out about the death of his father and the collapse of Raoh's legend. Rock decides to carry on Raoh's legend himself, and gathers fellow soldiers to form Raoh’s Army. They boldly dare to challenge the Asuras, but...

Seeking to become the third general of Asura, Gammon, Asura of Sasori, takes Rock's group hostage in order to ambush Kenshiro. Kenshiro sees the suffering in Rock's eyes, and springs the trap deliberately in order to draw the real culprit, Gammon, out.

With the death of the third general of Asura, Han, the second general of Asura Hyoh departs in person, at the head of his army, to suppress Kenshiro. Learning of the situation, the master of the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist, Jukei, shockingly claims that Kenshiro cannot win against Hyoh. Kenshiro is Hyoh's younger brother by blood, and furthermore, Hyoh has a hidden secret...!!

Jukei, master of the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist, awaits Hyoh, who is still in search of Kenshiro. Jukei, believing Kenshiro cannot win against Hyoh, risks his life to try and restore Hyoh's memories. Meanwhile, Shachi, in pursuit of his own ambition, hands Lin over to the first general, Kaioh. But Kaioh, after taking Lin to his castle, gives off an evil fighting spiritual energy, and declares himself the creator of the new century.

Jukei seeks to restore Hyoh's sealed-off memories, and draw out the "Key" to destroying the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist, the primary thing Kenshiro would need to win against Kaioh. Kenshiro and Hyoh belong to the main family of the North Star, and Hyoh was the only person to learn the location of the hidden technique. But even after coming to terms with reality, no technique seems to be able to break the seal on his memories. Meanwhile, Kenshiro, in his quest to rescue Lin, sets foot in Kaioh's castle...

Kenshiro loses badly to Kaioh. Even Ken's ultimate technique, the Unconcious Transmigration, doesn't seem to slow Kaioh down. Kaioh declares that the sealed memories which only Hyoh knows are the only key to defeating him in existence. Having lost to Kaioh, Kenshiro is cruelly crucified. Shachi watches protectively from the shadows, but then challenges Kaioh, who wields a superior North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist, to a direct confrontation. However, Shachi doesn't stand a chance against him. Just as Kaioh is about to deliver the finishing blow to Shachi, Akashachi showers him in concentrated sulfuric acid, stalling him long enough to rescue Kenshiro and Shachi. Lin gets swept out of sight in the current... And Akashachi, while trying to finish Kaioh off, meets his end at Kaioh's hands.

Kenshiro bears heavy damage from his fight with Kaioh. Under the pretext of giving Akashachi a burial at sea, Shachi seeks to withdraw and give Kenshiro a chance to heal. Kaioh returns to prevent that, and as Shachi's group starts down the waterway, Kaioh once again appears before them! Is this the end of the line!? Shachi is ready to throw in the towel, but suddenly, Kaioh's evil fighting spiritual energy gets extinguished. Kenshiro, whose pulse should have stopped, stands before them...

Shachi is determined to protect Kenshiro, whom he believes to be the savior. He continues his journey, disguising himself as a rag and hiding Kenshiro in a coffin. Kaioh is consumed with fear of Kenshiro's limitless potential, and instructs his henchmen to search for Lin. For her part, after getting swallowed by underground currents, Lin is rescued by Kaioh's younger sister, Sayaka. Meanwhile, heavily scarred by the killing of Jukei, Hyoh seeks out Sayaka to mend his wounds, but...

Shachi finally brings Kenshiro to a safe haven. Around that time, Commander of Asura Kain, having received instructions to search for Shachi and Kenshiro, sets about his search in hopes of attaining the coveted position of third general. The cabin where Shachi arrived finally gets searched, but due to poor timing, the only one there is the cabin's elderly caretaker. Asura henchmen intrude inside... Meanwhile, in order to draw Hyoh to the dark world, Kaioh takes his own younger sister by blood, Sayaka.

Kaioh kills his own younger sister, Sayaka, and spreads word that Kenshiro is the one behind it. Hyoh is consumed by powerful hatred. Kaioh schemes to bring the main family of the North Star to an end. Right in the middle of the funeral for Sayaka being held in Kaioh's castle, an Asura named Gyoko's battle train crashes in. Gyoko, rolling in front of Kaioh, bears a message from Kenshiro: I am never defeated twice! Hyoh, believing that Kenshiro killed Sayaka, is consumed in powerful hatred upon hearing that, and takes his first step towards the dark world...

Having ventured into the dark world, Hyoh's personality becomes evil and twisted. Upon seeing how he had changed, his adoring, devoted Vice General Nagato is stricken with unbearable grief. Nagato encounters Shachi and Kenshiro, both heavily injured from fighting Kaioh. Despite their positions as enemies, Nagato senses something heart-stirring in Kenshiro's eyes, and hides the two of them in his house...

Kenshiro's group hears that Hyoh is exploiting villagers to bring back the birthplace of the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist, the Holy Temple of Asura, from the bottom of a swamp. Kenshiro faces off with Hyoh, who has gone there and turned into a demon. While Kenshiro senses that Hyoh is his elder brother, Hyoh's memories remain sealed and lost, and Hyoh, seeing Kenshiro only as Sayaka's murderer, is consumed anew with vengeance. When Kaioh hears reports of the fighting, he lets out resounding laughter at how smoothly things are going for him.

In the midst of Kenshiro and Hyoh's back-and-forth battle, when Kenshiro hits a pressure point, Hyoh uses an evil art to gouge out his own flesh where the pressure point is located. With the battle between Kenshiro and Hyoh, Kaioh is more confident than ever in the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist's new century. When he has Lin brought before him, Kaioh's real face surfaces amidst his evil fighting spiritual energy. His face bears an eerie resemblance to Raoh's... Of course it would - Kaioh is Raoh's older brother!

Hyoh's evil fighting spiritual energy has vanished! But his memories haven't completely returned. His mind clouded with memories of his childhood departure from Kenshiro, Hyoh turns his fist upon Kenshiro once more. Shachi senses danger and finally acts. As Kenshiro catches a glimpse of tears in Hyoh's eyes, his fist slackens, and to save him, he rushes Hyoh from behind! Then the defeated Hyoh says something unexpected...

Shachi is believed to have already died fighting Kaioh to protect Leia. But the female visages in the Holy Temple of Asura create a mysterious resonance, and with tears in his eyes, Shachi rises again. Even as heavily overwhelmed as he had been, he launches a counterattack so ferocious that it even shocks Kaioh. It all comes from the power of love... Kaioh, now convinced that the main family's ultimate technique is love, seeks to prove the superiority of the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist that he uses for his evil ultimate art.

The place Kaioh chooses for a showdown is the Swamp of Demon, a place teeming with evil fighting spiritual energy, and the place where his evil began. Leia gives Kenshiro Shachi's protector as a memento, and Kenshiro sets foot into the swamp alone. There, the tragic past of Kaioh and Raoh's mother, and Kenshiro and Hyoh's mother, is revealed! Then, right before the battle, Kaioh hits a destructive point on Lin! What terrifying effect will it have...!?

Because of the destructive point that Kaioh hit, when Lin wakes up, she may very well fall in love with the first person she sees, regardless of whom it may be. Kenshiro, shaking with rage, fights with Kaioh. Realizing Lin's peril, Hyoh once more overstrains his heavily injured body to save Lin... What is the disgrace Hyoh speaks of, that twisted Kaioh as a child!? And what of the feelings Raoh told Kenshiro that he had towards Kaioh!?

Kenshiro and Kaioh's deadly struggle continues. But Kenshiro is put in dire peril when his body becomes paralyzed by gas in a cave beneath the Swamp of Demon. Meanwhile, learning of the destructive point hit on Lin, the Asuras go after her. Danger draws closer and closer to Lin as she begins to regain consciousness. Will Hyoh make it in time!? In the midst of battle, Kenshiro learns that Kaioh also bears the blood of the main family of the North Star. There is a story behind that, a tragic tale about the main family of the North Star from before the Divine Fist of the North Star was founded...

Kaioh's fist no longer has any effect on Kenshiro. In contrast to the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist, whose style has already been perfected and has no further progress, the Divine Fist of the North Star is a style which continues to constantly evolve on the battlefield. Thus, by using the hidden technique Kenshiro acquired, the art to deflect the North Star Lapis Lazuli Fist, it is rendered completely ineffective. Seeing his chances of winning slipping away, Kaioh casts off the armor he wears to contain his evil fighting spiritual energy, and goes all-out in a last ditch battle! Meanwhile, Black Yaksha meets his end protecting Lin, and Hyoh is in dire peril once more! But then, some unexpected backup arrives...!!

After saving Lin and Hyoh, the North Star Army rushes towards the place where the ferocious battle between Kenshiro and Kaioh is unfolding. Kaioh has cast off his armor and fights desperately using his evil fighting spiritual energy, while Kenshiro shows that he has the advantage by far. But Kaioh, who can't even hurt him with his evil fighting spiritual energy now, borrows his mother's strength for one final blow! Kaioh gets sent flying into the sky by a geyser erupting from beneath the grave, and when he swoops down upon Kenshiro, Kenshiro's fist slams into him! Can the history of fate that has laste since the era of the main family of the North Star be put to rest, at long last!?

It's the year 199x, and the world is enveloped in the fires of a nuclear holocaust. On the charred remains of the earth’s surface, few remaining groups of humans are struggling to survive. However, they find themselves in a fearful world ruled by violence.

The young wanderer, Kenshiro, stands up to the bandits. Upon his chest are seven scars in the shape of the North Star!
