Moderat are Modeselektor and Apparat working closely together with Pfadfinderei - a Berlin based design bureau who also produced this video. The clip is taken from the DIN AV release out on the experimental Scape Music label.

Four Tet - Go Go Ninja Dinosaur

Featuring Princess Watermelon. Video directed by Carolina Melis at Nexus. The piece is part of a collection of children’s songs curated by Belle and Sebastian, to raise funds for the children’s charity "Save the Children".

Even Tuel - Thandden Strakk

This video is part of the Rüts video collection (2008) and represents the final release of a collaboration between Ampoule records from Glasgow and Meakusma from Brussels. The video was produced by Visual Kitchen - the audiovisual arts factory and collective also based in Brussels.

Dima + Sunday Luv - Duolog

Both Sunday and Dima lives in Berlin where they're busy showcasing their talents both in production and performance. This track was released in 2008 on the Bar25 label and was directed by Marie Alice Brandner-Wolfszahn. Knives by Rabi Georges.

3-1 - Dark Howling

3-1 is an pistolpop outfit and part of a collective of artists based in Amsterdam. The band has built up great reputation for their wild and crazy live shows. Video by 310k and home label is Basserk.

Booka Shade - Charlotte

The Berlin based, warm sounding tech-house duo Booka Shade are Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier. The video was shot by Cam Archer in 2008 and released on their Get Physical imprint.

Straight from the suburbs of Lisbon with a video shot in Angola and featuring DJ Znobia, M.I.A., Saborosa and Puto Prata. Track taken from their Black Diamond album out on Enchufada. Kuduro is a type of music and dance born in Angola but later exported to Lisbon, Portugal.

MSTRKRFT - Street Justice

Old school electro disco video directed by award winning director Sean Michael Turrell based in Totonto, Canada. Released in 2006 on Last Gang Records.

Jan Jelinek - Modell Statt Berlin

Contemporary audiovisual collaboration between Jan Jelinek & Visiomat inc. with graphics of Berlin streets and suburban house models. Originally released on the album La Nouvelle Pauvreté out on Scape Music.

Minilogue - Animals

Direction/Animation/Characterdesign by Kristofer Ström from ljudbilden.com. Once again, Kristofer lets loose his amazingly strange little creatures into an urban world. Look a little closer next time you're waiting by the bus stop and you might just spot one of them! Minimal techno from Swedish Minilogue released in 2008 on Sven Väth's impressive Cocoon Recordings.

Isambard Khroustaliov - Edicisium

Isambard Khroustaliov is the solo alias of Sam Britton from the electronic group Icarus. He has recorded and released music for a number of independent electronic music labels like Output Recordings, Domino and The Leaf Label. The director Candas Sisman is from Turkey and experiments with synthesization of elements from animation, graphic design, illustration, photography and music.

Touane - Eiertanz

Video produced and directed by the very competent UK based Jeremy Swayways. Minimal techno track released in 2007 on Lan Muzic, Exercise One’s Berlin imprint.

Vector Lovers - Ping Pong

Wonderful 80's arcade inspired video created by No Input - a UK based visual collective specializing in live events. The track from the excellent bloke, Martin wheeler, was released in 2008 on Soma Recordings.

The Black Dog - Sudden Intake

This video is nominated in The International Festival of Cinema and Technology (2009) in Los Angeles. Created by the highly talented Hazel Baird from Your Mother Ate My Dog. Track out on Dust Science Recordings.

Slam - Azure

Video for Slam's hit single Azure released in 2007 on Soma Recordings. The dancers are from Ballet West in Scotland.

Croucher & Myles - Vicious Cycle

The duo's debut release on Soma Recordings (2008) is a dark crunching technotic freakout, full of twisted vocals, perverted bleeps and severe beats.

My Robot Friend - Robot High School

This video is a play with the manipulation of views and perspectives of our perceived reality. Despite how it may appear, the video was shot in a single take with no significant computer-generated effects added, just some minor post-production cleanup. The video was directed by Roel Wouters.

Tiga - You Gonna Want Me

Video directed by Olivier Gondry (yes, Michel's younger brother) from Partizan. The track is taken from the album Sexor out in 2006 on Last Gang Records/Turbo.

The American Dollar - Anything You Synthesize

Onesize - the Dutch based creative studio that produced the video had the idea of visualizing a decaying world. After finishing the production though, they decided to reverse the whole thing!

Jaga Jazzist - Animal Chin

CLP feat. Rayzaflo - Putcha Handz Up

CLP featuring Rayzaflo on vocals from Mississippi/USA . The video was made by very talented motion graphics artist Liviu Malaescu from KTX in Romania. The track is taken from their album called "Supercontinental" released in 2008 on Berlin based label Shitkatapult.

Rumpistol - Dynamo

Accompanied by Rumpistol's dubstep escapades, Danish directors Pernille Krog Mogensen and Samesame Visuals illustrate everyday sounds and rythms in a most simple unproduced and compelling way. The Japanese Popstars - Facemelter

This video is for their single Facemelter out on Gung-Ho! Recordings in 2009. The band recently finished remixes for Beyonce and Groove Armada and are currently getting a lot of attention over in the UK. The video was directed by 13 Videos.

Utah Saints - Something Good (Van She Tech Mix)

The video, directed by Eran Creevy from Between The Eyes won "Best Dance Video" in the 2008 UK Music Video Awards. The track is a remix by Australia's Van She and released on Data Records.

Magda - The Black Room

Turkish director and animator Ahmet Said Kaplan made this slightly abstract yet very conformable video. The track first appeared on the Minimize To Maximize compilation out on the Minus imprint in 2005.

Richie Hawtin - The Tunnel

A collaboration between Istanbul-based Ali Demirel and Richie Hawtin. The track is taken from the DE9: Transitions album released in 2005 on M_nus. Ali's idea was to use Tarkovsky’s Stalker movie and deconstruct it in a visual way as Richie would deconstruct the music to recreate the DE9 thing.

Bomb The Bass - Butterfingers

Innovative in it's complex simplicity - this is a puppet video manifesting a special kind of sequencer playing the tunes like a player piano. The video was created by Lung at Parish Factory in London. The track is taken from Bomb The Bass's album Future Chaos released in 2008 on !K7.

Omodaka - Asadoya Yunta

It's evident that Japan remains a diverse and rich breeding ground for new talents that push visual innovation. Creative agency Power Graphixx delivers an amazing pixelshow accompanied by Omodaka's crazy electronic pop sounds. Directed by Yoshiyuki Komatsu with typography byFujimoto "ANI" Quentaro. Produced in 2008 for Far East Recording.

P.toile - Migration

Claudia Marquardt aka P.toile with a release on Channels Records a minimal-house label set up by 3 Channels in Szczecin, Poland. Esteemed Italian VJ Mr. Kama is the director and the whole thing was created in the fall of 2008.

Michel Cleis - Deconstructed

Another brilliant video production from Sevra & Stas at Monokompatibel. This time for Michel Cleis - Swiss minimal techno producer. Track released in 2008 on My Best Friend (MBF) - the sublabel of Cologne imprint Traum Schallplatten.

Ghislain Poirer - Hit And Red

This track is taken from the "No Ground Under" album released in 2007 on Ninja Tune. Director Thibaut Duverneix from the French Department agency describes the project: "Putting images on the music of this Montreal artist was a big challenge. Bass, a mechanical construction, and a lot more bass. The creative process was the same as Ghislain's during the musical composition : a perpetual multiplication of element to build a unique world."

Efterklang - Prey And Predator

Karim Ghahwagi is a filmmaker who has also done film work for other artists such as Anders Trentemøller, Kasper Bjørke and regularly does screenings and video installations eg. at the Roskilde Festival - the largest music festival in northern Europe. Efterklang is the magnificent Danish electronica ensemble who regularly releases on The Leaf Label, this one from the album Tripper released in 2004.

Plastikman - Disconnect

Director Ali Demirel joins forces with Istanbul-based motion designer Cem Gül for this incredible Plastikman video. Ali who once studied architecture and nuclear engineering started making videos in 1993, focusing on minimal images and structural compositions. He has since worked for several video projects with Richie Hawtin. Track released in 2003 on Novamute and Minus.

The Young Punx - Mash It Up

Filmed in and around Hoxton, London and at the "Phone In Sick" club at Electricity Showrooms. Filming and photography by James Cumpsty, post-production and animation by Han Hoogerbrugge. Guitar by Guthrie Govan and vocals by Laura Kidd. Electro track from a London-based collective of eclectic electronic musicians and released in 2008 on Mofohifi.

Ambivalent - R U OK

Music video for minimal techno act Ambivalent aka Kevin McHugh, directed by Ali Demirel and produced by Richie Hawtin at Minus. The video was shot at Dogstar in Istanbul and Tribehaus in Neuss, Germany. The director would like to give special thanks to Lukas Moodysson and Gaspar Noe for inspiration. Released in 2007 on the Minus imprint.

This is a music video exploring new approaches to media presentations by mixing alternative music and motion graphics. The video is a simulation of a Kyotei (Japanese boat racing) game in old school wireframe format. Motion and graphics by Yoshiyuki Komatsu & Junya Saito from Power Graphixx in Tokyo.

The Knife - Heartbeats

Video collage and motion graphics by Johannes Nyholm, Andreas Nilsson & Bo Melin. This is the original track but the song is perhaps best known for the José Gonzalez cover version. Released in 2004 on Rabid Records.

Pierce & Jerl - Blanc de Blancs

This is the second release from the Cologne duo Pierce & Jerl. Both are active in the techno and electronic scene and have been producing for many years. Now they have joined forced to produce two records for My Best Friend (MBF) - the sublabel of Traum Schallplatten. Minimalistic video created by Sevra & Stas from Monokompatibel.

Nortec Collective - Tijuana Sound Machine

Nortec Collective emerged from the burgeoning Tijuana electronic scene, performing a style of music that they invented called Nortec - a fusion of Norteño ("from the North") and Techno. Video was directed by Checo Brown and released in 2008 on Nacional Records.

Adam Sky vs. Mark Stewart - We Are All Prostitutes (Crookers Remix)

A nu rave ghetto remake of The Pop Group’s classic track in a remix by Crookers. All direction, drawings and animations were done by omni-artist Angie Reed. Track released in 2007 on Exploited.

Jonas Bering - Can't Stop Loving You

Video directed by Jeremy Wulff aka Swayways who started out as a VJ with residencies in London and Brighton. Jonas Bering returns with another release on Cologne based imprint Kompakt, this time perhaps a little bit more vocal and melodic that what we’re used to.

Ghislain Poirer - Don't Smile It's Postmodern

A word from the production team at Notice Bureau: "Taking the track title as a starting point, we looked to the Postmodernist movement in music and art for inspiration. One of the important aspects of the movement was nonsense, and its defining moment in art was Marcel Duchamp’s exhibition of a urinal. And so we came up with this video - which is utter nonsense." Released in 2007 on Chocolate Industries.

CLP - Ain't Nobody Cooler

The video editor and filmmaker Danny Baarz from Berlin created this intense Keirin (track cycling) movie and it is none other than Japanese artist Norio Takasugi who appears as special guest, main actor and cycling athlete. Danny Baarz combines his passion for fixed gear bikes, Japanese Keirin bike races and incredible speed. The track released in 2008 on Boysnoize Records.

Glenn Marshall - Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis was programmed entirely in Processing - the open source programming language and environment built for the electronic arts and visual design communities. Glenn has developed his 'zeno' organic animation system - a procedural, self-generating 'ecosystem' of mathematical motion and natural forms.

Jahcoozi - Collagen

Jahcoozi is Robert Koch, Sasha Perera, Oren Gerlitz who hooked up in Berlin and formed this mutated ghetto-electro urban outfit. The Collagen track is taken from Jahcoozi’s second album “Blitz & Ass” which was released in late 2007 on Asound. Berlin based Bruno from Metropunks created the video.

Slajh - Red Carpet Mile

Slajh is a techno project by Steve Lawler and Jimmy Hill and this track was released in 2008 on My Best Friend – the sublabel of Traum Schallplatten. Minimalistic video created by Sevra & Stas from Monokompatibel.

Robosonic - Die Verwandlung

This video is actually divided into into two tracks; the first two minutes are Die Verwandlung and the last two minutes is Die Blechtrommel. The video was directed by Kama who tells us that the idea of the rabbit riding a bike in a surrealistic landscape came from the title “Die Verwandlung” which means metamorphosis.

Classixx - Cold Act iLL

Old school skate & breakdance video with an excellent hip-hop flavoured electro soundtrack directed by Tim K. The LA duo Classixx with Michael David & Tyler Blake releases their debut EP on In Stereo. And yes, the vocal sample is Roxanne Shante.

High Powered Boys - Hoes Get Down

I day in the life of Bobmo & Surkin aka High Powered Boys captured by by Jean-Baptiste de Laubier aka Para One and edited by J. Lacheray. This ghetto-house duo is attached to french electro imprint Institubes.

Luke Walker - Find Your Way

A video from the mysterious art entity called 13 Videos who describe themselves as “the primary artist in residence of current”. This electro tech-house track was released in 2008 on the London based Gung-Ho! Recordings is in part a get well card to the world and self.

The Knife - Silent Shout

The Young Punx - You've Got To... (Norman Cook Mix)

The Young Punx join forces with the insane world of Han Hoogerbrugge, long time fans of this renowned Dutch digital artist, and they collaborated to great effect on all the visuals for The Young Punx “Your Music Is Killing Me” album. Mash-up ghetto-tech track released in 2007 on MofoHifi.

Transparent Sound - Variations Of An Attitude

Filmmaker Adam Aiken and illustrator Eleanor Meredith have produced this new work to accompany the music of British electro-funk legends Transparent Sound. Set in the depths of an imaginary forest, the video to Variations of an Attitude tells a tale of love and war, where bats and squirrels battle for supremacy, and fate brings together two youngsters from opposing sides. Minimal techno track released on Exceptional in 2005.

The Knife - Pass This On

The video tells the story of a performing drag queen, played by Rickard Engfors, and his reluctant audience. Director Johan Renck manages to capture an extreme tension, and the influence music has on us all. Shot in a dingy suburb of Stockholm late 2003. Released on Rabid Records.

Electricalz - Hieros

Directed by Kama – you might recognize him from his other stop motion video work with P.toile. Electricalz is a minimal techno trio from Milan and their home label is Thisorder Records.

Para One - Dudun-Dun

The official pajama party video for the first single off Para One’s debut album Epihanie released on French electro imprint Institubes. Directed by Romain 'Out One' Bailly & Jean-René Etienne.

Murcof - Ulysses

Epic clicks & cuts electronica track by the mighty Mexican artist Murcof. Made in 2004 by Tijuana's famous film director Aaron Soto and featuring performance artist Azzul Monraz and Aldo Guerra. Released on The Leaf Label.

Efterklang - Mirador

Music video directed by Hvass&Hannibal and UFEX who was responsible for the visual identity of the Parades album released in 2007 on The Leaf Label. Animations by Jens Christian Høgni Larsen & Nan Na Hvass. Efterklang is a pop electronica orchestra from Denmark.

Allan Banford - Here We Are

Video animations and motion graphics directed by Mario Buholzer and produced by Chemicalbox. The video has appeared on different showcases and festivals such as the Sololothurn Film Festival 2007 and in a Swiss Films promotion DVD 2007. Techno track released in 2006 on NB Records.

Robert Henke - Layer 001

A video by German artist and designer Lars Nagler, accompanied by the apocalyptic & cinematic track called "Layer 001". The track is taken from the album Layering Buddha released on Robert’s label Imbalance Computer Music. Showcased at the 2008 edition of the Synch Music and Media Festival.

Little Dragon - Test

Jazzy electronica pop track featured on this Swedish band's self-titled debut album released on Peacefrog Records in 2007.

Cornelia - The Meaning Of That Day

Video directed by Johan Holm at Fictionform in 2008 ­the director behind Håkan Lidbo's "Der Letzter Mann". Subtle motion design surrounding pouring in and out of Cornelia accompanied by a beautiful electronica pop track released on Camp Mozart. Music by Cornelia Dahlgren and Markus Enochson.

Dibaba - The Truth Blending Consortium

Archive footage video by the pseudonym G.A.D. who wishes to stay anonymous here. Techy electro-house track by Olle Cornéer aka Dibaba and released in 2006 on the Cologne based Plong! imprint.

Fenin - None Of Them

Dubby track released in 2005 on T.Raumschmiere’s Shitkatapult label. The video was made by Jason McFarlane aka Softcitizen who is also the man behind Justice’s “Never Be Alone” video.

P.toile - Piano Piano

Mr. Kama & P.toile are back with another cute little minimal techno stop motion video, with a quite complex story. According to Kama it’s about "communication problems, love not corresponding, ancient ways to communicate and about time passing too fast". Track released in 2008 on Mothership Music.

Meat Katie - Divine

Video by Oli Sorenson aka VJ Anyone who started out his career at Tiga’s club Sona in Montreal. His videos appeals to the senses first. Abstract colour fields and beat driven light patterns are his trademarks and very present in this illumination by breakbeat ambassador Meat Katie. Released in 2006 on Adrift Records.

Colleen - The Happy Sea

Animation artist Carolina Melis, originally from Sardinia, directed this music video. Her work is greatly influensed by her background in choreography and often explores ideas of delicacy, life-cycles and organic development. The animations fit perfectly with French artists Colleen aka. Cécilel Shott’s beautiful ambient electronica. Released on The Leaf Label in 2005.

Digital Club - Mare Street, E8

"We made an animated film that comprises a close-up of a biker's visor as he cruises through an abstraction of the streets of London's East End at ultra high speed," explains Digital Club. "It's kind of a futuristic high gloss ode to London and our favourite time of day: the night."

The whole project was commissioned by Creative Review which was the perfect opportunity to merge together a few ideas they had, without any client interfering. Digital Club is Marc Kremers and Thomas Eberwein.

Efterklang - Illuminant

Music video by Tobias Stretch. Illuminant can be found on Efterklangs second album entitled Parades releases in October 2007 on The Leaf Label. With a stop-motion technique Stretch visualizes a semi-imaginary world with strange creatures in beautiful countryside settings which works great with the soundscapes of this Danish electronica outfit.

Bloc Party - Flux

Hysterical Japanese robot/monster production by Ace Norton. The video was filmed over two days in Boston with American performance company Kaiju Big Battel. Some of the Kaiju (Japanese for 'strange beast') characters in the video are The Grudyin, Unibouzo, Vegetius, Giii the Space Pirate and Steam-Powered Tentacle Boulder. Fans of Beastie Boys’ "Intergalactic" should apply. Released in late 2007 on Wichita Recordings.

Simian Mobile Disco - Hustler

Daisy Daisy - Michelle Plays Ping Pong

Malcolm Goldie, the music and sound specialist of the PAM trio, records separately under the name of Daisy Daisy. The original composition was used in 'My Sky Is Erotic' from the Diesel Dreams campaign, but was later reworked and extended into a psychedelic-tinged electro pop single.

PAM's promo video builds on the hypnotic ping pong beat and explodes into a mind blowing mix of modernist architecture, alpine sceneries, 70's soft porn and domestic pets. Directed by PAM and released on Sunday Best in April 2006.

Omodaka - Kyoteizinc (video mix)

The production consists of 8-bit Japanese electro drum and bass with visual direction by Hiroshi Kisu. The dancer's name is Masako Yasumoto. Omodaka, is a project incorporating Far East Recording and different artists and design teams like Power Graphixx, Teppei Maki, Hiroshi Kizu and others, developed through a 'trial and error process of mutational fusion of music and motion graphics'.

Modfunk - We Got Game

An infectious Daft Punk influenced house track. Karol Zakrzewski, lead 3D animator at the Warsaw post production studio Lunapark, labored on this video between regular paying gigs, completing the animation, rigging, rendering, modeling of the male character, compositing and editing over four months. There was no motion capture, it's all hand animated based on some small mpgs from the internet to have choreography reference. Character concept drawings and modeling of the female character were handled by Lunapark's Jarek Kwasniak. Track released on Seek Records in 2007.
