Bomb The Bass - Butterfingers

Innovative in it's complex simplicity - this is a puppet video manifesting a special kind of sequencer playing the tunes like a player piano. The video was created by Lung at Parish Factory in London. The track is taken from Bomb The Bass's album Future Chaos released in 2008 on !K7.

Omodaka - Asadoya Yunta

It's evident that Japan remains a diverse and rich breeding ground for new talents that push visual innovation. Creative agency Power Graphixx delivers an amazing pixelshow accompanied by Omodaka's crazy electronic pop sounds. Directed by Yoshiyuki Komatsu with typography byFujimoto "ANI" Quentaro. Produced in 2008 for Far East Recording.

P.toile - Migration

Claudia Marquardt aka P.toile with a release on Channels Records a minimal-house label set up by 3 Channels in Szczecin, Poland. Esteemed Italian VJ Mr. Kama is the director and the whole thing was created in the fall of 2008.

Michel Cleis - Deconstructed

Another brilliant video production from Sevra & Stas at Monokompatibel. This time for Michel Cleis - Swiss minimal techno producer. Track released in 2008 on My Best Friend (MBF) - the sublabel of Cologne imprint Traum Schallplatten.

Ghislain Poirer - Hit And Red

This track is taken from the "No Ground Under" album released in 2007 on Ninja Tune. Director Thibaut Duverneix from the French Department agency describes the project: "Putting images on the music of this Montreal artist was a big challenge. Bass, a mechanical construction, and a lot more bass. The creative process was the same as Ghislain's during the musical composition : a perpetual multiplication of element to build a unique world."

Efterklang - Prey And Predator

Karim Ghahwagi is a filmmaker who has also done film work for other artists such as Anders Trentemøller, Kasper Bjørke and regularly does screenings and video installations eg. at the Roskilde Festival - the largest music festival in northern Europe. Efterklang is the magnificent Danish electronica ensemble who regularly releases on The Leaf Label, this one from the album Tripper released in 2004.

Minilogue - Animals

Direction/Animation/Characterdesign by Kristofer Ström from ljudbilden.com. Once again, Kristofer lets loose his amazingly strange little creatures into an urban world. Look a little closer next time you're waiting by the bus stop and you might just spot one of them! Minimal techno from Swedish Minilogue released in 2008 on Sven Väth's impressive Cocoon Recordings.

Plastikman - Disconnect

Director Ali Demirel joins forces with Istanbul-based motion designer Cem Gül for this incredible Plastikman video. Ali who once studied architecture and nuclear engineering started making videos in 1993, focusing on minimal images and structural compositions. He has since worked for several video projects with Richie Hawtin. Track released in 2003 on Novamute and Minus.

The Young Punx - Mash It Up

Filmed in and around Hoxton, London and at the "Phone In Sick" club at Electricity Showrooms. Filming and photography by James Cumpsty, post-production and animation by Han Hoogerbrugge. Guitar by Guthrie Govan and vocals by Laura Kidd. Electro track from a London-based collective of eclectic electronic musicians and released in 2008 on Mofohifi.

Ambivalent - R U OK

Music video for minimal techno act Ambivalent aka Kevin McHugh, directed by Ali Demirel and produced by Richie Hawtin at Minus. The video was shot at Dogstar in Istanbul and Tribehaus in Neuss, Germany. The director would like to give special thanks to Lukas Moodysson and Gaspar Noe for inspiration. Released in 2007 on the Minus imprint.

Jaga Jazzist - Day

This video is a cutout animation with vector graphics and photos made by Christian Mona and Leif Henning from Oslo based Acoustic Kung Fu Films! (AKFF!). Jaga Jazzist is a group of 10 musicians from Norway playing music without boundaries. Releases on Ninja Tune & Smalltown Supersound.

Omodaka - Fortunate 1mark

This is a music video exploring new approaches to media presentations by mixing alternative music and motion graphics. The video is a simulation of a Kyotei (Japanese boat racing) game in old school wireframe format. Motion and graphics by Yoshiyuki Komatsu & Junya Saito from Power Graphixx in Tokyo.

The Knife - Heartbeats

Video collage and motion graphics by Johannes Nyholm, Andreas Nilsson & Bo Melin. This is the original track but the song is perhaps best known for the José Gonzalez cover version. Released in 2004 on Rabid Records.

Pierce & Jerl - Blanc de Blancs

This is the second release from the Cologne duo Pierce & Jerl. Both are active in the techno and electronic scene and have been producing for many years. Now they have joined forced to produce two records for My Best Friend (MBF) - the sublabel of Traum Schallplatten. Minimalistic video created by Sevra & Stas from Monokompatibel.

Nortec Collective - Tijuana Sound Machine

Nortec Collective emerged from the burgeoning Tijuana electronic scene, performing a style of music that they invented called Nortec - a fusion of Norteño ("from the North") and Techno. Video was directed by Checo Brown and released in 2008 on Nacional Records.

Adam Sky vs. Mark Stewart - We Are All Prostitutes (Crookers Remix)

A nu rave ghetto remake of The Pop Group’s classic track in a remix by Crookers. All direction, drawings and animations were done by omni-artist Angie Reed. Track released in 2007 on Exploited.

Jonas Bering - Can't Stop Loving You

Video directed by Jeremy Wulff aka Swayways who started out as a VJ with residencies in London and Brighton. Jonas Bering returns with another release on Cologne based imprint Kompakt, this time perhaps a little bit more vocal and melodic that what we’re used to.

Ghislain Poirer - Don't Smile It's Postmodern

A word from the production team at Notice Bureau: "Taking the track title as a starting point, we looked to the Postmodernist movement in music and art for inspiration. One of the important aspects of the movement was nonsense, and its defining moment in art was Marcel Duchamp’s exhibition of a urinal. And so we came up with this video - which is utter nonsense." Released in 2007 on Chocolate Industries.

CLP - Ain't Nobody Cooler

The video editor and filmmaker Danny Baarz from Berlin created this intense Keirin (track cycling) movie and it is none other than Japanese artist Norio Takasugi who appears as special guest, main actor and cycling athlete. Danny Baarz combines his passion for fixed gear bikes, Japanese Keirin bike races and incredible speed. The track released in 2008 on Boysnoize Records.

Jahcoozi - Collagen

Jahcoozi is Robert Koch, Sasha Perera, Oren Gerlitz who hooked up in Berlin and formed this mutated ghetto-electro urban outfit. The Collagen track is taken from Jahcoozi’s second album “Blitz & Ass” which was released in late 2007 on Asound. Berlin based Bruno from Metropunks created the video.

Slajh - Red Carpet Mile

Slajh is a techno project by Steve Lawler and Jimmy Hill and this track was released in 2008 on My Best Friend – the sublabel of Traum Schallplatten. Minimalistic video created by Sevra & Stas from Monokompatibel.

Robosonic - Die Verwandlung

This video is actually divided into into two tracks; the first two minutes are Die Verwandlung and the last two minutes is Die Blechtrommel. The video was directed by Kama who tells us that the idea of the rabbit riding a bike in a surrealistic landscape came from the title “Die Verwandlung” which means metamorphosis.

Classixx - Cold Act iLL

Old school skate & breakdance video with an excellent hip-hop flavoured electro soundtrack directed by Tim K. The LA duo Classixx with Michael David & Tyler Blake releases their debut EP on In Stereo. And yes, the vocal sample is Roxanne Shante.

High Powered Boys - Hoes Get Down

I day in the life of Bobmo & Surkin aka High Powered Boys captured by by Jean-Baptiste de Laubier aka Para One and edited by J. Lacheray. This ghetto-house duo is attached to french electro imprint Institubes.

Luke Walker - Find Your Way

A video from the mysterious art entity called 13 Videos who describe themselves as “the primary artist in residence of current”. This electro tech-house track was released in 2008 on the London based Gung-Ho! Recordings is in part a get well card to the world and self.

The Knife - Silent Shout

Motion graphics video by Andreas Nilsson - official artistic concept and visuals director for the 2006 The Knife European and North American tour. Track released in 2006 on Rabid Records.

The Young Punx - You've Got To... (Norman Cook Mix)

The Young Punx join forces with the insane world of Han Hoogerbrugge, long time fans of this renowned Dutch digital artist, and they collaborated to great effect on all the visuals for The Young Punx “Your Music Is Killing Me” album. Mash-up ghetto-tech track released in 2007 on MofoHifi.

Transparent Sound - Variations Of An Attitude

Filmmaker Adam Aiken and illustrator Eleanor Meredith have produced this new work to accompany the music of British electro-funk legends Transparent Sound. Set in the depths of an imaginary forest, the video to Variations of an Attitude tells a tale of love and war, where bats and squirrels battle for supremacy, and fate brings together two youngsters from opposing sides. Minimal techno track released on Exceptional in 2005.

The Knife - Pass This On

The video tells the story of a performing drag queen, played by Rickard Engfors, and his reluctant audience. Director Johan Renck manages to capture an extreme tension, and the influence music has on us all. Shot in a dingy suburb of Stockholm late 2003. Released on Rabid Records.

Audio synchronized dynamic video by Andreas Pihlström for this minimal techno track released on Richie Hawtin and John Acquaviva’s Plus 8 imprint.

Robyn - Handle Me

Video directed by Johan Renck and production by Magdalena Larsson / R.A.F. Released as a single in 2007 but also appears on Robyn’s self-titled album released on her own imprint - Konichiwa Records.

Revl9n - Someone Like You

Electronic punk-pop song from Revl9n signed to french electro imprint Because Music. The video was released in 2006 with direction by Johan Renck / R.A.F.

Electricalz - Hieros

Directed by Kama – you might recognize him from his other stop motion video work with P.toile. Electricalz is a minimal techno trio from Milan and their home label is Thisorder Records.

Para One - Dudun-Dun

The official pajama party video for the first single off Para One’s debut album Epihanie released on French electro imprint Institubes. Directed by Romain 'Out One' Bailly & Jean-René Etienne.

Murcof - Ulysses

Epic clicks & cuts electronica track by the mighty Mexican artist Murcof. Made in 2004 by Tijuana's famous film director Aaron Soto and featuring performance artist Azzul Monraz and Aldo Guerra. Released on The Leaf Label.

Efterklang - Mirador

Music video directed by Hvass&Hannibal and UFEX who was responsible for the visual identity of the Parades album released in 2007 on The Leaf Label. Animations by Jens Christian Høgni Larsen & Nan Na Hvass. Efterklang is a pop electronica orchestra from Denmark.
