A cult hit in Japan in both its manga and anime incarnations, Hajime Kanzaka’s comic fantasy follows the adventures of teen sorceress Lina Inverse and her loyal companion Gourry Gabriev, a formidable Swordsman whose intellect is rather less honed than his magical weapon. On her solitary journey to Atlas City, Lina Inverse is waylayed by bandits. The powerful sorceress is about to take care of the unsuspecting gang when a blonde-haired warrior appears and does the job for her. Lina and Gourry Gabriev become travelling companions.
